About the Instructor:
I have been a licensed Zumba instructor for over 10 years. I have been afforded the opportunity to teach across Metro Detroit for organizations, schools, and communities. I have been fortuitous enough to be asked to lead Zumba instruction for the 2012 Relay for Life at Marygrove College, Girl Scouts of America, and the Metro Detroit Alumni chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, along with a teen auxiliary group the Southfield AKATeens. Additionally, I was asked to be one of the instructors at the 2016 and 2018 Arts, Beats, & Eats Zumbathon in Royal Oak, with the group Detroit Supreme Team. In 2019, I was a guest instructor for an event that honored Veterans. In 2020, I continued teaching Zumba virtually as we welcomed participants from all over the country to join me in a weekly virtual Zumba class.
I currently teach Zumba at The Shed Fit Factory on Wednesday evenings.
Aside from teaching Zumba, I stay active by running road races, including several half marathons, lifting weights, and choreographing dance – fitness routines.
One of the things I try to teach along with strengthening the mind, body, and soul, is building camaraderie, as we continue to travel this journey called fitness. LET’S TAKE THIS JOURNEY TOGETHER!
